Grupa Precious została założona w 1998 roku przez dwie przyjaciółki Sophie McDonnell i Jenny Frost. Następnie do zespołu dołączyły Anya Lahiri, Kalli Clark-Sternberg i Louise Rose. 7 marca 1999 roku grupa wygrała brytyjski finał narodowy. W Jerozolimie utwór Say it again zdobył 38 punktów i uplasował się na 12. pozycji, co było najgorszym wynikiem Wielkiej Brytanii od 1987 roku. Mimo niezadowalającego wyniku dziewczyny nie spoczęły na laurach. Wydały kilka singli, znanych również poza Wielką Brytanią. Ich utwór Rewind często pojawiał się także w polskich rozgłośniach radiowych. Pod koniec roku 2000 zespół rozwiązał się. Sophie rozpoczęła pracę w dziecięcym kanale BBC, Jenny dołączyła do popularnej wówczas grupy Atomic Kitten, zaś Anya i Louise rozpoczęły karierę aktorską.
